Thanksgiving Testimonies

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

Sharing thanksgivings to God is one of the simplest, yet most powerful ways we build each other up in Christ (1 Corinthians 14:16-17). Thank you to everyone who submitted a Thanksgiving testimony.

From Norma

2020 has been a year that I will never forget. If you told me that I would not be able to attend my church for nine months, I would not have believed it, yet here I am. I have realized that I love my church and the people that make us a church. I miss the smiles, the togetherness, the sermons, songs and hugs!! I will have to say that I have heard many sermons from different churches on Facebook and they have been a blessing and inspiration since I don’t go to church for safety reasons. But I do miss my church. I have read and studied my Bible more each day and I feel I have drawn closer to Jesus, which has been a blessing to me. Happy THANKSgiving to all!!

From Richard

Looking back over my life, I’m thankful for all the good things that have happened to me,  and equally thankful for things that might have happened , but didn’t! There have been many times in the past that decisions, events,  timing, etc. that could have gone one way, actually went another way. Thanks for how He has guided my life.

From Doris

I am so thankful that God has shown me the way to love more, and to let go of old habits that were not pleasing to Him. My friendship with Dawn, Samantha and Angela mean so much to me. These young ladies are so much fun. They are precious and our prayers for them will help them along their journey of life.

My church family means so much to me and Richard. When God allows us to meet without fear of this virus, it will be a great time for all of us. That time will come in His time. We must be patient and ever ready for that day.

From Betty

As we look back over 2020, we all know how different things have become.  However, I know God is in control and one thing that gets me through is God’s love for me. How grateful I am for His love, patience and understanding no matter in what situation I find myself. Reflecting on 2020, I am aware of how much more faithful I am to my daily devotions and Bible readings. These bring great comfort to me and especially reading my Bible during sleepless nights. I sincerely love and miss being with my church family in person but my prayer is each one stays safe. May we all give thanks to God for watching over us and continue to protect us in these unsettling times.

I’m thankful for brothers and sisters in Christ who help me to endure when life feels hopeless, and that God hangs on to me when I don’t have the strength or desire to hang on myself.

From Rick P.

Faith and Prayer have absolutely sustained me through this difficult year. It has been mentally challenging, but God is good and leads me every day.
