Trusting and following the Risen Savior and Lord
by the Holy Spirit’s power
and the word’s guidance
in increasing gospel influence
together.

We believe this is our high calling as Christians and that, no matter what is going on around us, we can daily apply ourselves to it.

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

“The Scripture had to be fulfilled…” (Acts 1:16)

“Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38)

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (Acts 2:42)

Prayer

• Ask God to empower us by the Holy Spirit to be witnesses of Jesus in the world.
• Ask him to guide us by his word.
• Confess your sins to God in prayer, asking him to help you repent.
• Express to him your faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of your sins.
• Express to him your allegiance to Jesus as your Lord.
• Ask him to increase our devotion to teaching, fellowship, bread-breaking, and prayer together.  

Conclusion

The faith which creates powerful praying is the faith which centers itself on a powerful person.
Faith in Christ’s ability to do and to do greatly, is the faith which prays greatly.

We have prayed together, but we do not trust in the power of our praying. We trust in the power of the One to whom we pray. Jesus Christ is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The devil and the world are no match for his power. Politics and pandemics cannot thwart him. Now that we have prayed, we can be at peace, not in the quality of what we have said, but in the quality of our Savior.
