The difference between advice and news is important. Advice tells you what to do. News forms your worldview. Advice gives you steps to take. News shows you the reality in which you walk.
Christianity is about the good news (gospel) that God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal live (John 3:16). Believe it and your whole reality shifts until Jesus becomes the center point.
So we’re confronted not with a set of rules to keep but a historical event to examine and either believe or reject. Have you thought about Jesus? Is this news true? If so, his life, death and resurrection are the most important facts of history. If not, Christianity is silly worthless nonsense. Which is it?
