Nations can be self-deceived about their identity and substance just like individuals. Egypt was a hideous dragon that thought it was a valiant lion. God held a harshly accurate mirror before Egypt through his prophet. Likewise his word is a mirror to us today, as individuals and nations. Who are we really?
