New Sunday School Series
We have started a new Sunday school series using a Christ-centered, Bible-based curriculum provided by The Gospel Project. This series will help us study the entire Bible and show how all of Scripture testifies to Jesus Christ and God’s perfect plan for our salvation. Not only does the material explain how the whole Bible points to Jesus, but it also explains it on all age levels. Because of this, we are using The Gospel Project for all the Sunday school classes – adults, teens and children. So why should you come to Sunday school?
- The lessons are independent of each other, so you can jump in any time.
- It’s a chronological, Christ-centered Bible study.
- The same material is used for all ages, so lessons can be discussed with the whole family.
We hope you will join us!
Every year in the month of December, we have a special season of Advent. The word advent means “arrival,” and what we celebrate during this time is the arrival of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as a baby in a manger. We also look ahead to his return – not as a baby, but as King and Conqueror. Here is what our 2017 Advent Schedule looks like:
Sundays, December 3-24, 11am
Christmas Worship Service
December 17, 11am
(includes special kids’ participation & offering)
Christmas Game Night
December 17, 5-7pm
December 24, 6pm
Winter Ski Retreat
Get ready for a real treat and a great experience as the Winter Ski Retreat is coming up! The retreat will be held February 9-11 at Camp ACCOVAC in Millboro, VA. This is a great opportunity to reconnect with each other and build lasting relationships with people of all ages. The retreat is not just for teens – children and adults are invited to attend as well.
With worship services centered around Christ and our identity in him and plenty of fun at the camp and on the slopes, this is a weekend you won’t want to miss!
